Martens' hazy Dutch skies whisper stories of solitude and introspection. Each cloud, an untamed dream in the artist's surrealistic landscape (🌥️✨)

Offiziere dreier Schiffe

Here we have a man named Karl Marten-Blush. He's trans. Karl dyed his hair solid gray since he didn't really like the way it was graying (not his eyebrows, though). Sexuality statement time, Karl is bisexual. Also, Ed Pryor's Shirt Pattern again, tilted and recoloured.

Karl Martens was born in San Francisco in 1956 but grew up near Drottningholm, on the outskirts of Stockholm. Karl then lived in both Switzerland and Canada before returning to his place of birth, San Francisco. Finally, after an absence of 24 years, he returned to Sweden at the age of 40 and continues to reside there.
The study of nature, with a particular passion for birds, has been Karl’s main interest since childhood. Having initially painted very exact, detailed pictures, he has more recently developed a freer and more fluid style. Karl is influenced by both Western and Eastern philosophies and he is very interested in the forms of meditation found in Zen Buddhism.

Which one is your favourite: Jean Paul Gaultier by Glenn or by Haider Ackermann?
I’ve missed Haider so much because he hasn’t shown his own stand alone Collection in a while but I absolutely LOVED the Gaultier collaboration. He is a master tailor and his work truly exemplifies that but out of all of the Gaultier collaborations the Glenn Martens collab is my absolute favorite one, that is the superior for me.
If anyone is to succeed Jean Paul Gaultier at Gaultier it’s Glenn. Glenn already makes beautiful pieces at Y/Project and he completely revived Diesel, no one has worn nor talked about Diesel this much in years. The fact that even Gaultier wealthiest customers purchased one of the Couture looks and told them not to recreate nor lend it out to stylists proving the value. Gaultier needs to give Glenn the keys to the house.
As for Haider Ackermann, he needs to go to Chanel because he would know exactly what to do with those textiles, the tailoring would be off the charts, and he would bring an youthful energy that has been has been missing since Karl left. It’s wild because Karl Lagerfeld was a huge fan and actually wanted Haider Ackermann to succeed him at Chanel so it would be a fulfilling wish. It needs to happen NOW!

(NSFW under the cut)
One thing about the casino that I remember very clearly is the small strip club setup that was in the basement. Karl spent a lot of time there, or at least that’s where he spent his time when he wasn’t doing what he did on the floor. I’d be down there at least a couple times a week, acting as extra security or running a blackjack table off to the side.
I remember those times when I was actually grateful for being trans. The packer just gave me a regular bulge, nothing like what an erection would cause. I could sit there next to the door being unnecessary extra security, so turned on that I could barely think straight, and no one would know.
That’s what normally happened when I spent too long in the club if Karl was working down there.
Something about him in those tiny little shorts, fishnets wrapping his long legs, and the shiny Doc Martens they disappeared into. His outfits always did something to me if I looked at him for too long.
